A few weeks ago I saw a video of a drag queen strutting down the isle of a church in a thong. I’m not even a Christian and I found this offensive.
last time I went to church was 11 years ago and I was pretty much shunned for wearing a hoodie

I went to Catholic school until 6th grade at which point I began reading actual data and even today feel I was stripped of my early youth by religion.... at least I didn't get molested. |

I was raised catholic and left the church for a long time. I gave it a last chance but they would rather shake their heads at me for dressing casual than listen to the sermon. Lately I’ve been looking for spiritual growth in older religions.

When the right see’s stuff like this they say it’s blasphemy. How do you say to someone looking at this and try to convince them there’s nothing going on?

Personally, I do not bother as I have found it easier and more peaceful to just smile and walk away. Just like a troll on the internet just wish them a nice day:) and walk away. |

So you just smile and walk away to anyone who questions whether or not there is a movement hiding behind the LGBTQ? Hiding behind since not everyone in the LGBTQ are like these people but I think it needs to be addressed. |

There are way too many actual problems in this world without creating more just because I disagree with someone... Thus I just smile and walk away.There are those that don't like it when you walk away because that means you are not buying their B.S., which means to them they didn't "win" the argument. Winning/agreeing is everything to them. They don't like to lose. Trying to convince you with their options/current talking point as facts. I am currently on a couple of other political discussion sites and the "Trumpsters" as I call them, are pretty much a monolithic block against anything 'Democrat" or 'liberal'. They swarm and take over message boards sites. Become moderators and even administrators. Pretty much, to a person, Hate Democrats/Trump best President ever. Many claim to be centralist, moderate, etc, but what they post is all Right-wing. They believe States Right over rides the Federal government. Take over control of enough states, they take control of the country. Currently, nothing good gets past in the Senate. DINO's block, weaken needed legislation in the House. Me paranoid? We dodged a bullet on 1/6 and they are not done yet. The religious Right-wing nuts currently have control of the Supreme Court. That should keep saner people awake at night. After Roe vs Wade was rescinded, the rumors about outlawing cohabitation, mixed race marriages, LGBTQ etc., being next, may have a real basis. |

I do not care what they "Like" or even have to say, I have heard it all for too long and have no time for it. As for SCOTUS, you are correct and those who do not care for this direction need to vote and hope Biden has the balls to expand/fix the court...until then it is what it is and I try not to dwell on what I cannot change....but am always thinking on solution. |
